Danish West India Company by Leoninia Danish West India Company by Leoninia
The #MapsAndFlags group is currently holding a flag contest. The theme is colonial trading companies. It's probably what I'll send.

This flag represents the failed Danish West India Company, that had the trading monopoly of the former Danish West Indies, also known as Danish Antilles, after sold to USA and renamed U.S. Virgin Islands. As other Caribbean colonies, the Danish Antilles exported sugar and cotton, mainly.

The flag follows the proportions of the Danish flag, that's also on canton (on a square version). The sun represents the tropical cliche and blue is for the sea.
